MANOLO FORTICH, Bukidnon — One person died while several others were injured after a flatbed pickup truck, locally known as “Bongo,” lost control along the zigzag road in Barangay Maluko, Manolo Fortich on Friday, May 8. Police identified the fatality as George Jumamil, 53, of Malaybalay City, who was declared dead on arrival at a local hospital. Lt. Col. Rogie C. Ortencio, Manolo Fortich police chief, said the group had just attended water rescue training for barangay frontline responders in Talisayan, Misamis Oriental, and was returning to Malaybalay City when the accident occurred.
