Environment Canada introduces new colour-coded weather alerts as winter storm hits Ontario, Quebec

A winter storm is winding its way through northern Ontario and northern Quebec, bringing a combination of heavy snow, whipping winds and lake-effect snow dumps in different parts. The storm coincides with Environment Canada introducing yellow-orange and red weather alerts that coincide with warnings, advisories and watches.
