MANILA, Philippines โ The country’s trade deficit shrank by more than a third in October following a surge in export growth and a slip in imports pushed the countryโs trade deficit. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported the development on Friday. The countryโs trade-in-goods deficit, or the difference between exports and imports, narrowed by 34.2 percent year-on-year to $3.83 billion from $5.81 billion in the same month last year, PSA data showed.
