MANILA, Philippines — A support group for political prisoners on Wednesday denounced the “theatrical” medical excuses and privileges sought by Sen. Jinggoy Estrada and former Public Works Secretary Manuel Bonoan in their graft and plunder case before the Sandiganbayan. “There must be no customized justice, no exemptions from standard jail protocols, and absolutely no special treatment for VIPs — whom we define as Very Important Prisoners,” said Fides Lim, spokesperson of Kapatid.
