MANILA, Philippines — A total of 24 areas recorded “danger” level heat indices on May 10, with Baler (Radar), Aurora reaching the highest at 45ºC, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. Heat indices ranging between 42ºC and 51ºC are automatically tagged as “danger” level by Pagasa amid increased risks of heat cramps and heat exhaustion, which could lead to heat stroke.
