CEBU CITY, Philippines — Highly ranked Filipino bantamweight prospect Kenneth “Lover Boy” Llover has arrived in Japan ahead of his world title eliminator scheduled on June 6 in Tokoname. Llover, the current top contender in the International Boxing Federation (IBF) bantamweight division, will face No. 6-ranked Michael Angeletti of the United States in what promises to be a high-stakes clash between two unbeaten prospects. The Kameda Promotions fight card will also feature former three-division world champion John Riel Casimero, who takes on Mexico’s Luis Nery in a 10-round non-title bout.
