Malolos cop relieved, detained after CCTV shows alleged wife assault

MALOLOS, Bulacan—A Malolos City police officer was relieved from duty and placed under custody on Sunday while under investigation following viral CCTV footage showing him assaulting his wife. Authorities also confiscated his firearm and Philippine National Police (PNP) identification to ensure these are not used for any form of intimidation or abuse during the investigation.
