MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. received the credentials of two newly appointed ambassadors to the Philippines during a simple ceremony in Malacañang on Wednesday. First to present credentials was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru Carmen del Rocio Azurin Araujo, who became Peru’s first resident ambassador to the Philippines in more than two decades following the reopening of the Peruvian Embassy in Manila in 2025.
