MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte and Palace press officer Claire Castro exchanged yet more heated remarks, with the former calling the latter an “attention-seeker” and the latter saying that the former apparently cannot research what is currently happening in the country. These recent statements stemmed from an interview with Duterte at The Hague, Netherlands, on Thursday, May 7 (Netherlands time), wherein she was asked about Castro’s recent statement that the vice president’s “demeanor” when answering questions about her preparedness for the upcoming 2028 presidential elections, in which she recently declared she would run.
