MANILA, Philippines — The Senate was placed under lockdown on Monday, May 11, after the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) allegedly attempted to arrest Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa. The NBI, along with former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, reportedly entered the Senate premises to serve the arrest order from the International Criminal Court (ICC). CCTV footage showed several NBI agents chasing Dela Rosa and his staff in an attempt to apprehend the senator.
