The opposition leader, Sussan Ley, has urged Australians to โmaintain the rageโ over the high number of women killed at the hands of their partners. Ahead of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Ley spoke after Labor MP Sharon Claydon introduced a motion to end family and domestic violence. Claydon read the list of the women who have lost their lives in the last year. โEvery year I read this list in the hope it will be the last, heartbreakingly that day has not yet comeโ. Liberal MP Aaron Violi also spoke, urging his male colleagues to be part of the solution to ending the violence against women
