US President Donald Trump said Thursday that efforts to halt Venezuelan drug trafficking “by land” would begin “very soon”, escalating tensions with Caracas, which says the campaign is aimed at regime change. Trump made the comments during a video call with deployed US troops for the Thanksgiving holiday.
